Flanger/Chorus vs. Flanger/Chorus (Electric Mistress content)

Hi guys!
I''ve been in search for a good, versatile flanger pedal for a long time.
After hearing Mystic's Electric Mistress in action, I really want one!
I have my eye on one of the following pedals..
-EHX Electric Mistress XO
-LINE 6 Liqua Flange
Is there anybody who has tried both, maybe?
Electric Mistress +:
Filter Matrix Mode
Sounds very analog though it's digital
Main out
Option to use both chorus+flanger at one time!
True Bypass
It's EHX!
Electric Mistress -:
No stereo IN's
No through ZERO flanging
Liqua Flange +:
Stereo IN's! (and outs)
more versatile, it's got a LOT of modes
Tap tempo for flanging speed
overall Level control
Through ZERO flanging
Liqua Flange -:
No filter matrix mode
Needs special adapter
probably sounds very digital
Both are about the same price (at least in my area).
Which one would you buy and why??
I disliked the liqua flange when I tried it. I dunno, sounded very digital, didn't really like most of the modes. In the end I got a Dano FAB Flange which is amazing considering it's $15.
No Through ZERO Flange!? With the Rate knob at 11 and the Fanger Depth knob at around 1:00 you can get AAAAAALLLL the Zero Flange you want man, WTH?
No version of the Electric Mistress is capable of through-zero flanging. I think you may be misunderstanding what he's asking for there.
To the OP:
I see that Line 6 says on their website that it can "pass through zero", but I just went to youtube and watched the official Line 6 demo of it, and the "pass-through zero" part didn't sound anything like the classic cancellation notch that I'm used to hearing out of a through-zero flanger. So either the demo was really bad, or they're blowing smoke.
The only pedals I have actually heard (in person or in demos) do that effect right now are:
I have a Markbass Chorus Flanger. It's probably the most versatile one out there. In fact, I'm trying to offload it and am looking to go Electric Mistress because I want something less versatile.
The Markbass can be hooked up to a computer via USB and you can alter all of the sounds through a downloadable program. It's pretty bad*** for a lover of chorus/flanger but for the casual user like myself...it's just way too much. It also has 5 presets that can be stomped between....all I need is something that has one sound that I stomp on and stomp off that I can just plug in, tweak a little, and then play. It IS True Bypass and extremely quiet, though.
If I were a die hard chorus/flanger person I'd keep it and not look elsewhere. I'm not, though, and I want something simpler.
i had the stereo electric mistress, it cut the lows and was a volume drop
I think people often get confused between the filter-sweep and an actual volume drop. If you put both depth knobs at 7:00 and turn the pedal on it has no volume drop at all
As for the low-end cut I have to agree when you put the Depth past 11:00 on any of the effects... but that sure hasn't stopped me from using it in the past 3 years!

Ok, sounds like I might be confusing them... do you have any audio samples of what an actual Zero Flange is?
There are a few examples out there, the one that most people think of first is the bridge to Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way"
edit:: here's a quick clip that I had laying around of me beating on a mando into a fuzz and then into a Flanger Hoax, just to show what a real through-zero flanger sounds like. I screw around on a bunch of different settings, but skip ahead to 1:55 to really hear what I'm talking about.

I do believe you can get a pretty close sound to this with the SEM... When I get back home I'll try recording a small clip with it and see what you guys think
