I've been asking about a few types of
Pedal as I'm not sure what I really want. Thanks for replies to everyone.
Been looking at chorus and flange. Not sure which I want. I tried the a/da flanger and thought it was great but expensive. The shop didn't have the mxr evh so no idea if it was a better/worse pedal and the mxr micro flanger which didn't seem to
Do
That much.
I loved the a/da though. Are there any Flanders that come
Close to this but cheaper and then are there any chorus pedals worthwhile? Im not sure that I want a
Chorus though. Not
Sure what it does
For
The sound
In a way that I
Would
Like. |

It's loaned out)that does the intro to *Barracuda* nicely. Souds good on bass, too IIRC. It has internally-adjustable trimpots so you can make it sound awful, if that's your thing.

The way I want . Has anyone else checked out the Paul Gilbert ibanez out and compared it side by side with the a/da? It's half the price and YouTube sounds seem to come close but unless you are in the room with both then it's hard to tell |

Sorry... I'm looking at the TC vortex for flanger sounds and I have an MXR micro chorus. I'm going to trade the micro(I don't like only having one knob) in for the black label chorus or the other MXR chorus in the small box(they are the same except the paint job). Do you want more spacey crazy sounds or more subtle less crazy sounds? Chorus and flangers are similar in many ways but I always think of flangers as the crazy cracked out cousin of chorus pedals. |

Flangers arent really a priority for the moment but if i go looking A/DA Flanger Reissue & Flanger Hoax will be at the top of the list. |

To me it was more like my phaser on super mild mode. Not saying you don't get what you want out of it but for me it's a bit like buying a single for 50 or ten for 100. Admittedly the true bypass was sweet
And
I could hear the sound of my
Finger as it brushed the string even while turned on. The a/da seems to not sound true bypass sadly. I have looked at the Paul Gilbert one but not tried it. Does anyone know how durable it is? |
