Does anyone know if any foot switch can be used for turning the sansamp circuitry on and off on the rpm or does it have to be a tech 21 one?

My Boss ME-50 multi-effects needs a pedal with two switches ( sold seperately by Boss for about $30 not too bad ) to go up and down banks. So I took a chance today and picked up a double switch pedal for $10 made by Beringher made for some amp they had and it works perfect. What I would do if I were you is see if a friend or bandmate has a pedal switch ( the one that usually comes with the amp to switch from clean to distortion ) and try that.
