When I say found, I mean literally. Was over at a friend's house this morning who asked me to take a look of some old guitars and pedals he had (one of those guitars turned out to be a 1958 Valco Supro Dual Tone, but that's another story

).
Anyway sitting in a box with a bunch of other pedals was this extremely dirty DOD FX84 Milkbox compressor. As, I have been toying with the idea of trying a compressor, and even searching local classifieds for a cheapie, I immediately confiscated it

Although it is apparently not designed for bass it seems, from the little info I could find by searching, that the Milkbox will work fine as a bass compressor. I've been playing around with it today and it seems to work great. I'm fairly new to bass and not really completely sure what to do with a compressor but it definitely has potential. I just need to play with a bit more to find the settings I like.
If anyone could provide opinions about the Milkbox or suggest some settings it would be greatly appreciated, as would just general tips on using compression.
