Hi Taylor,
Thanks for your post; I see some really cool engineering approach in your estimate!

Last time I dealt with electronics was when I took the basic circuit design back in college in 1988, so even though I have some idea, I am clueless about actual implementation.
Unfortunately, I had written to Fran, but she mentioned I should check the power supply that came with the unit which is 100mA; yet the power supply would always have some ample current capacity anyway. So, 100mA sounded a bit too much to me for the unit.
The reason I am asking for this is simply as follows... I am planning to power the Glacier using a Voodoo Lab Power 2 Plus. In order to reach the 24V that the unit requires, I would need to use a voltage coupler cable and switching both of the outputs of the supply to 12V which reduces the current to 60mA max instead of the standard 100mA at 9V. I am just trying to figure out if 60mA from the Voodoo Lab would be enough to feed the Glacier.
Thanks again. Best,
Alper

So probably 45-60ma or so. Of course, if you can get the info for sure it would be better. But short of confirmation this is a decent estimate. I do believe Fran's around so you might be able to just email her. |
