Fellow named Rick Holt, who mostly builds tube mini-amps, some tube fx,
I found him on Disco freq's site,by accident, and was so impressed,I decided to order a pedal on faith alone, after some contact,I'm really knocked out by their attention and overall service.

the clips sounded good to me,they're guitar, but still.
I'm probably gonna drop a deposit on one of these soon..a custom bass version.
from his site:
"Although it's primarily designed for guitar as opposed to bass, I myself really enjoy deep and dark guitar sounds, so the capacitors I used throughout that pedal were tuned for lows anyway. Here's some soundclips of the pedal:"

The first clip has the effect bypassed, then with minimum Gain and the Dirt switched off:

Maximum Gain, Dirt switched on, Tone set low:

although I'd rather not discuss the exact price i was quoted, but he's willing to add a clean blend and a two band "Vox" style EQ, (bypassable with a switch), for about $40 extra,
i thought that was very fair..
he seemed willing to add any options I wanted, I'm going to create some custom graphics too..which comes w the deal.

His wiring and general construction seems uber-clean, really crafted with pride.

He's got an interesting dual compressor as well, he said he's tune it for bass frequencies as well if i wanted

He does build mostly those mini,"Murder One" tube amps

The construction looks really well done.
He mentioned it runs on a
regulated 12 volt DC 500MA Power supply,
Any special care for a tube pedal?

He plays five string active bass so he will tune the pedal for lows
here's some interesting info on it...

First off, you'll notice that it has switchable diode clipping, this idea was suggested to me by Derringer, so I tried it and it worked well, adding a bit of sizzle to the boost and overdrive. There is a slight volume loss when the 'Dirt' switch is engaged, though there's enough boost in the circuit to compensate for this.

What does it do? Well it does clean boost with the Gain set at minimum, flick on the Dirt switch and you get some nice diode clipping too. Turn up the Gain and you'e into overdrive territory with diode clipping, flick the Dirt switch off and you get even more overdrive. All with some nice tonal variations courtesy of the tonestack. So many types of dirty, hence the name "Promiscuous Girlfriend".
