FRIDAY ULTIMATE PEDALFEST: What do you regret no longer having?

Sign in to disble this ad

My DOD Tec 4. We made so much awesomely bad music together, and could listen to AM radio broadcasts if we stood in the right place in the room. I prolly got $20 for it is all; What was i thinking?!

How about you: what is your most beloved former pedal and what were you thinking?!

Probably my light-up Dunlop 105Q. I just never used it. I just kept it around for so long only because it was so damn cool.

Oh, and it was sound reactive. It pulsed with my playing.

I spent a few years in the 80s with and without a TS9. I must have bought 4 or 5 of them during that time only to have a guitarist with a DOD 'buzz saw' or the like type dirt boxes fall in love and buy them from me at a profit. I would then pick up a new one the next time I hit 48th street. My last one was stolen along with my Ric 4003 in 1988.

Another I miss was an Electro Harmonix Screaming Tree. really wicked treble boost that really made the Ric sound nasty & rude in a good way.

The Polychorus and I have had a torrid relationship. I just picked up my third, and hopefully last one.

Pearl AD-09(IIRC)analog delay. Used the hyack out of it; when it *quit* I actually threw it away...

A Keeley Baked Mod Tubescreamer. It really is a fantastic overdrive.

My unknown model phaser.

It was a weird blueberry coloured metal box with the picture of a guy plugging his ears silkscreened on it that I rescued out of the junk box at a local guitar shop for $10.

That thing could do subtle Phase 90 kind of phasing to all out raygun whoosh and did not suck the low end out of my bass.

It died on the road, the victim of a cracked circuit board due to our drummer dropping a stand on it...nothing I have found since then has touched it...

My old BMS. The new BMS knows I don't love it like I loved the old one.

Many years ago I has an MXR Phase 45. Loved that pedal for bass. Wish I still had it.

My Freqbox. I had no use for it at the time. Now it would be immensely helpful.

My Empress Tremolo. I'm seriously considering buying another.

I regret not having my old Boss Slow Gear mostly because I could sell it for a lot more now.

Lately I've been wishing I would have kept my Weeping Demon.

And the Roland AP-2 is another.

i decided to buy a friend of mine who is in love with Isis a PS3. bad idea. just in playing with it, i kinda fell in love.
if i could find a delay that can do the 'no attack' thing like that pedal did, i'd buy it in a heartbeat. plus, the pitch shifting was amazing.
