Fried Catalinbread SFT

I think i just fried the pedal, i usually use batteries because i dont have any AC adapters, one of my bandmates sugested i use one of his extra adapter's claiming it worked fine on all of his pedals. I went against my gut feeling with the little information i know about powering effect pedals, it worked fine for a while but now i cant get any sound out of it. The little "On Switch" still turns on when i have a battery and stomp on the switch but it seems to be fried. I didnt smell or detect any smoke but the ac adapter was really hot when i unplugged it.

Anyhow, what options do i have at this point? I didnt purchase it directly from the company i actually purchased it from someone on here so i have no actual warranty.

Even though it's not under warranty, the only people that I'd trust to repair it correctly would be Catalinbread. Sure, they may charge a fee, but it may not be as much as the cost of replacing the pedal.

Take the back plate off and look inside. See any burn marks, loose solders, anything out of the ordinary. I'd check inside for common sense things before you send it off.
