Fulltone Bass Drive or EBS Metal Drive?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for an aggressive modern sounding distortion to add to my sound and I've narrowed it down to one of these two pedals to do the job. So now I'm turning to you lovely folk for advice on both as unfortunately there's no dealers here in Ireland for either pedal. So, what's the verdict?

I love my Fulltone Bass Drive.
But, If you have never used it with an 18 volt adapter.
You are not hearing what this pedal can do.

Well, I must say that I've tried them both & I personally like the Fulltone much better for what I do. Of course, what I want & what you want aren't necessarily the same!

If "aggressive" and "modern" are what you're after, then the EBS is a much better choice, in my opinion. While the Bass-Drive can get aggressive at higher boosted settings- I definitely wouldn't call it modern sounding.

Definitely go for the ebs metal drive. this pedal has a pretty killer sound. the ebs website has sound samples of that pedal.
