I bought this pedal a few months back for a band i was in that i am no longer in. In hindsight i probably wouldnt buy the pedal again as i dont generally use much distortion. however, before selling it i would like to get some opinions on using it more as a preamp than a distortion pedal. maybe to get a bit of tube-like overdrive. seems like a shame to sell it as one day i may need a distortion pedal and i would like to find a way to work it into my rig. so if you have dialed in a nice setting for this pedal please let me know.

I wouldn't worry - if you find no use for it, you could sell it in the tb classifieds, and when you need another, you will probably be able to find one just like it (or a more suitable distortion to your needs)... in the TB classifieds, for a good price

I know exactly what your talking about. Im more of a mids guy myself so my setting is as follows...

CompCut

Volume 9 oclock
Tone 2 oclock
Overdrive 4 oclock
Boost 9 oclock (Only used sometimes for more grit)

The other settings ill use for ambiance with reverb and suboctave...

I sold mine because it made no sense to hold on to it anymore - I wasn't using it and I could recoup most or all of my cash into it. No real regrets. It got me cash and made someone else happy. If I need a distortion I have my little old Danelectro Daddy-O or a plug-in in my little studio. The Daddy-O's not in the same league, but I don't particularly need distortion all that often.
