Fulltone BassDrive: ? re: Model / Revision

Sign in to disble this ad
I have first refusal on a FT BassDrive but I'm not exactly sure what to look for in terms of features and/or desirability. This particular unit is at least 4 years old and has 4 ka-nobs, two footswitches, but no mini-toggle switches as I've seen on the newer models.

The seller wants $100 for it but I'm a little hesitant at the moment. Somebody fill me in on the details, please!

Why don't you just ask the seller? I'm sure he or she would give you the information.

I think the older ones didn't have the mosfet switch. I'm not positive but I think this is just a different type of clipping. So, you get two types of clipping with the new version and one type with the old. That's what I think, but I'm no expert in the technical stuff.

Great suggestion but I'm of the impression the seller doesn't know much about the recent upgrades / revisions (e.g. mosfet capability). I'm hoping somebody has had experience with both and can compare / contrast.

I haven't read it, but this thread should answer your questions.

Fulltone Bassdrive mosfet vs non-mosfet
