Fulltone Mini Deja-Vibe or Reel Echo

That's right, I'm in the trade market and I can't decide between these two. I already have a chorus pedal, but to my ears, the Deja-Vibe doesnt quite get that..."lush"? I'm not sure thats the right subjective term.

I've also never had a Delay/echo unit so, what do you have/suggest/enjoy/use?

Current setup is

EBMM Sterling > PitchBlack> BBM> Battering Ram> Pork Loin> Submarine> Cool Cat> Shuttle 6.0 >Eden XST210

I was saying boo-urns. Reel Echos are like $150...? Deja-Vibe is not a delay...?

I'm confused by this thread. But, I think Malekko, Subdecay, and Guyatone make amazing delay pedals, if that is what you are looking for.

EDIT: Oh, I get it. Well, Danelectro can suck it, so I say go for the Deja-Vibe. Guitarist I work with has one on her board, and she's about as picky as I am with effects, so she must like it. Can't say I ever heard her use it though.

I have an old Ibanez Sound Tank Echo Machine EM-5 delay that is awesome. I genuinely like it's tone & self-oscillation(yes it does that though it's actually digital)better than my Deja Vu- but the DV has the TT & much greater range, as well as other features I haven't delved into just yet. I also have a UE-405 w/a Maxon-built analog delay that has the sweetest progressively darkening shade to the repeats. I suggest you begin the search for *your* delay. I also love vibes & rotary dealios, but end up wanking w/delays for hours. Get both, but start w/delay.

I think I'm the old owner of the Reel Echo you're looking at...I don't know . Anyway, it's a fantastic sounding pedal. Just a bit big, but considering your other option, that's not a problem.

I had Mini Deja Vibe 2 - it's the one in wah enclosure, which doubles the fun. Really nice pedal that works with bass pretty well.

oh, man. i'm going to go ahead and blame that one on sleep deprivation or something. the deja-vibe made me think he was asking about fulltone's actual tape delay, which is indeed an order of magnitude more expensive than danelectro's delay.

the danelectro delay sounds pretty good, though the size makes it undesirable compared to analog delay units from ehx or mxr, say. at least that's my two-grand.
