My music class is studying various instruments and how/why they work like they do. We are on strings, so I took my pedals (Behringer Bass chorus, Behringer Bass Overdrive, Big Muff) just so they could see how they work. After fooling around with the bass, we decided to hook up my Baritone Ukulele up (I have a clip on acoustic guitar pickup) and the kids thought the distorted uke was cool. Then I thought it would be neat to see what else we could do (THIS is why I teach music... LOL) so I decided to hook the clip on pickup to a lap dulcimer, soprano uke, trumpet, clarinet, trombone... Running those through the chorus and OD were pretty cool...

No real revelations. I just thought it was neat.

i have a friend who plays sax into an EXH microsynth.

it was my idea..it sounds horrible..but he still does it. with lots of echo. its obnoxious..

but, keep up the experimentation..just dont keep doing it if it sounds nasty..
