funky jamiroquai sound? I'm thinking of mixing a aguilar octamizer with a groover regulator. this would all be complimented by my mxr phase 90. Any thoughts guys?

YA RLY. For Stuart Zender sounds you want a ridiculously squishy compressor and a Warwick Streamer, and the odd bit of DOD FX25 for 'Blow Your Mind' action.

If you're trying to cop post-Zender Jamiroquai then you need to check yourself before you riggidy wreck yourself.

Zender used very light strings (035-090).

FWIW, just saw his endorsement for Aquilar's twin envelope filter.

Zender used the Boss GT-6B for some time in Jamiroquai. If you'd rather have individual boxes to get a generic funk tone, I'd suggest (at the bare minimum) an envelope filter and a compressor. For a little more variety, I'd suggest adding a chorus, octave, and perhaps even an overdrive.
