funny sound

so i have my pedalboard finally set up... it goes as follows,

lakland skyline DJ-> bass micro -> small clone -> bass big muff ->barber tone press -> zoom b2 multi fx (mainly used asa tuner/bypass) ->markbass LM2

all of which are powered from a DC powerbrick with the exception of the micro synth which is on its own power supply.

So im playing the other night, and whenever i make a slight noise.. or even a loud one and mute... you hear a quiet *beep* *beep* and we were all like *** is that??? then we find out its coming from my amp...

i tried every pedal individually and i cant seem to find the canidate for the noise, any idea?

It's probably the cell phone in your pocket. Seriously- they interfere with amps.

I had this happen when I installed the Glock pre in my Warrior. I kept getting a click click sound at random. Searched and searched for the problem. Then I was like, "I'm such an idiot!" the phone was in my pocket right next to the pre.

It's most likely interference. A lot of pedals are not shielded that well.

+1 for the phone......my blackberry makes my amp sound like alien transmissions....nasty

i dont have a cellphone, but my band members do maybe thats the problem i just think its wierd that nothing happens when its not chained .

truth is cell phones are looking for a link to a tower... different cell phone companies have different ways of doing it... but if you have a cell phone in your pocket and are playing or holding a bass it will pick up the link signal and will go through your amp, and make you wonder what blew up lol... so if I ave to have my cell phone in a pocket I put in in my back pocket and that alleviated the problem....
