It can do several different varients of OD and DIstortion, but IMHO it does in no excel at 'subtlety'.

Yeah, I think this pedal is anything but subtle. More the "angry drunk" of pedals to me. That boost is like when you have your hands full while wearing headphones and doing something that raises the volume by about 150%!!! You have already committed to the horror that is hearing loss, and now you have to ride the situation untill you can get to the volume nob or rip the cans off your head. LOL.
