fuzz debate

Okay I know there are a lot of fuzz threads going around, but I'm specifically looking at the boss hyper fuzz fz-2 vs. The blackout effectors musket fuzz.
How do they compare against eachother?
I have a fz-2 but i've always wanted a musket to pair with my fixed fuzz.
Since I don't really have any money I am considering selling/trading my fz-2 for a musket, but I'd want to know if it is closer to my fuzz needs than the fz-2 before I do anything.

I don't. Get the Musket fuzz though. And then after that a Bluebeard. You'll probably want a Grey Stache and then an Oxfuzz later and you might as well just give up on playing bass and just acquire fuzz pedals.

Isn't that what everyone goes through...or is it just me?

I have about 8 muffs of various eras, op amp, Green, Black, etc.
the FZ-2 is king for me, I've never tried a Musket but I highly doubt it would bump my FZ-2 off the board.

As a lover of both muffs (giggety) and superfuzz pedals I own a Boss FZ-2 and tried a Musket. As stated before very different animals...here is why I choose the Boss FZ-2...

1) has 2 very different sounding fuzz modes that are VERY versatile with the the on-board 2-band EQ and gain.
2) has a clean gain boost that works very well
3) its called HYPER FUZZ!

with that said the Musket is a very fine muff-clone but I settled on a Way Huge Swollen Pickle and Russian BM for my muff-y needs

Awesome
Looks like I'll stick to my fixd fuzz/fz-2 combo, instead of going for that separate twosome pedal combination
