I got a Big Muff Pi last week, just to see what it would be like. Turns out it's like this: "Whoa there, Big Muff! Whoa, whoa!" most of the time.

If you can get subtle fuzz out of this thing, I haven't found out how yet. It's pretty wild. And if you crank the sustain knob beyond around 1 O'clock it hisses. Lots. On the plus side, you won't ever need a guitarist again.

Try a heavy fuzz like either of the two you listed with a phaser or flanger after it. Seriously weird ****...perfect for psychedelic sound.

little big muff pi is the most badaxe pedal I've ever owned.

However, I've only owned two fuzzes, but still.

Man. there's ton's of good ones, and I like variety. I've recently re-discovered the Ehx Holy Stain, though it's probably not the greatest for bass, it's got a great voice and some extras like reverb and pitch shift. Just throwing out some more choice to fuzz up decisions.
