Fuzzhugger ARC FLASH

NPD: ARC FLASH

This is a serious bass overdrive/fuzz. I am floored.
Biting grind, with enough "cut" for any rock/metal bass tone.
And if you use a fuzz, you owe it to yourself to try it run through an ARC FLASH.
It takes your fuzz tone and throws it sky high.
Amazing.

As a fuzz, in and of its own self, its a total 'RAT killer'. I used to love blending a RAT in on bass.
This does that sound, but with no blend and it does it better.

The demos online do NOT do this pedal justice on bass.
I will have to go and make one now because it is just so so good.

Or maybe not. Maybe I don't want you all to believe me and I will just keep this little secret all for myself.

In fact, you can forget you ever looked at this thread.
Nothing to see here..

totally GASing for one of these. especially with that cool paint job. but i just got a Way Huge Red Llama clone that works pretty well for me and I can't justify getting one of these as well.

So I'm a lazy bastard, and I want answers. Can I kill things with it, or should I move for the oscillating one to supremely destroy things and break open holes in the earth?

It sure is. As I recall, the backstory is that Tom posted clips of it (somewhere on I Love Fuzz, I think) and someone replied that the pedal sounded like "electric bacon." From that exchange, a brilliant graphic treatment was born.

Has anyone had a chance to check out Tom's new, updated version of the Arc Flash (with a freq/tone control) to see how it compares to the original we all know and love?

I JUST got one and tried it LOud at rehearsal. FANTASTIC. No worries on low end and the buzz CUTS. I've settled on lower distortion setting but knob at 3 o'clock, engages quite an organic sounding buzz, at 1 o'clock it's a nice subtle overdrive. AF Bumps Devi Ever DB & KP combo I was using off the board, but with a much better attack and quite a bit of versatility. (blended Ruiner still in use, don't expect that to be eclipsed) New version w/ freq. knob and outlet graphic. Freq. knob must do something more for guitarists eq. because I don't hear much difference past 10 o clock (which is about where I have it). It also sounds super with an octave down through it.
This month I'm finally getting the Oxide, the TAFM and the Arc Flash...Ark Flash might be my favorite of the 3. Surprise.
