Happily welcome to start off, looking forward to hearing about your purchases and the endless amazement you have with any Fuzzrocious product you buy.

You'll probably find the Dark Driving to be a very good dark always on overdrive as it runs according to how hard you play so you can keep your tone clean by playing a little less harder or really dig in to dirty it up big time.
I tend to place my BDPG behind it to really shape the texture of Dark Driving for a touch more gain/treble and to just add that touch of tubey tone most playings love to hear. Not one person I have played my BDPG to have said one negative or even neutral comment all have gone 'F**k that is so awesome how much you want for it?'

The OSD is an awesome pedal and now Brian Cook from Russian Circles has upgraded from the Fulltone OCD, it is just a pedal that has that tone gives clarity but can really be pushed to a thick dirty tone.
I am actually considering taking off my Rat King (Drew Rash) for my OSD with gate/boost mod which I think you are talking about in regards to second gain setting. The gate/boost mod just adds a bit of volume and gives it that splattery sound from the gate closing very quickly, can be very useful for a lot of playing styles hence why I am considering placing it back on my board.
The other reason I am doing so is that I have found that playing with my fingers the Rat King doesn't seem to capture the tone I am after that it nailed so well with a pick. Definitely consider that factor as I love my OSD with fingers and pick but the Rat King or Rat Tail for that fact are massive played with a pick and they retain so much low end compared to every Rat clone on the market.

So, OSD or DD??? |
I would definitely buy both as you can stack them and the DD going into anything is just total chaos. Half the reason my collection of Fuzzrocious pedals got so massive and still is because they all match up really well together and you find yourself discovering amazing new tones everytime you play your bass witrh any combination of them together.
I hope I have helped you out there with my experience and I ordered the OSD first but picked up a first edition Dark Driving before I recieved the OSD, no regrets about it at all as not one person has come up and complained about how awesome my bass tone is.
