Putting the toggle in the middle is the key for light OD, as it clips the least. I use mine as a light OD 100% of the time.

Please add a Grey Stache to my name.
Arrived today but haven't had decent chance to play around with settings.

Can I get a # please. Just get a Grey Stache from another TB'er. Very stoked about it. I will also be adding a Rat Tail in a month or so. I was just about to order the RT about six months ago when I found a whiteface re-issue for $80 on CL. I figured I give it a shot and to be honest it sounded awesome, however it def lost some lows when I kicked it on. I used it at a couple shows but unless i add another head or get the WF modded I'm not gonna get the sound I need. The Rat Tail is most def the answer to this dilema i'm having. I saw Young Widows play in Philly a few months ago and he has replaced his vintage Rat with a RT. Needless to say it sounded amazing. It seems ryan made him a custom cause it looked kinda dif than the others, almost like a RatKing but not. Anyhow, I think I will wait till they get those sweet hoodies up for sale and just make an order for both, it will give me time to figure out the best settings on my GS.

Might want to order a Rats Tail now seen as the waiting list is so long.

That's a "clean" tone?! lol Thanks for the clip Tiger!

I still want to do some clips with the Dark Driving, but it came in and then I promptly left town for a week. Maybe I can find some time this weekend........

I played a gig tonight with my Dark Driving and DBA Fuzz War, guess what pedal was on most of the time?

You guessed it the DD, just so smooth and sits really well for a distortion/overdrive pedal.
Definitly going to continue to use this pedal for future gigs as well as the yet to be placed on board Grey Stache.

I did some clips of the DD compared to the Elements on low gain OD as well. I'll post them here after work today.
Tomorrow for Fuzzrocious Friday I am going to attempt the Epic Fuzzrocious demo to date!!!

Ok, I just did this real fast, so pardon the mess! Someone on another thread wanted a low gain comparison of the Elements and the Dark Driving.
I quickly learned a Wolfmother riff and a Raconteurs riff because that's what he is into.
I am playing clean for a pass or 4, then the Elements, then the Dark Driving for both tunes. The DD is about 3/4 maxed heaviness, this is how I like it, and I set the Elements as close as I could. Both are responsive to picking dynamics which I tried to demonstrate.

Again I didn't have alot of time. I didn't even eq this.
Enjoy!

pretty amazing how similar they sound. unlikely that you could hear the difference in a mix.

Little late on the upload.

I am loving this thing. I run a dirty and clean signal simultaneously and my RT sounds KILLER blended with the clean chain.

It plays well with a cranked Wal preamp, too.

Yeah thats how I use mine to. It can go great without clean also, but I like it just a little better with it. Thats a wicked paint job to.

Been using similar settings to what Ryan posted at the top of this page, cept with the filter at 1.00 o'clock. Freakin love this pedal.
