I had ordered an RK but due too pedalboard size restriction I asked Ryan to "downgrade" me to a RT (which was awesome of him to deal with my wishy-washy decisions). I am so freakin excited to get it regardless! once it gets here, I'll have all the pedals I've been GASing for!!

Awesome, yeah ever since I got mine my gas has been pretty tame. My only regret is not ordering the modded one with the 2nd footswitch for a second distortion. but meh... I have it set at what I like and its great. It would of been nice to have a milder OD sorta tone (my rat tail settings are pretty extreme), but I have my OCD for that.

Be sure to let us know how it goes when it arrives +pics.

That is so cool, I have plans to use the OCD the same way! The OCD is on its way from the great land of Canaidia, hopefully It'll arrive early this week...

the OCD can really drive the Rat Tail aswell, its a seriously awesome combination.
if you can, run the OCD at 18V, so much better

I just got me that Black Stache! I sold my Grey Stache like 5 days ago to pay for a Rat Tail, and I just finished selling a bunch of stuff when the Black Stache came on the classifieds. So much for liquidating pedal assets (who caressss)

Just bought Plays_For_Dog's Terrordactyl off the classifieds... I guess it'll have to hold me over while I wait for my Rat King that's on order.

Just got my Rat Tail today. I won't really have much of a chance to dial it in before practice tomorrow but I want to bring it along (especially to compare it to the Fulltone Bassdrive that I am LOVING at the moment)

Anyone have some favourite settings they want to share? Particularly a low-mid gain grrrrrrrrindy kind of sound?

I had a similar situation with my Rat King i didn't have much time to dial it in or any for that matter before band practice but it really did well with plug and play. i was able to spend a few moments dialing it in made longer by having to yell at my drummer to give me a minute but was able to find something i ended up only tweaking a tiny bit when i really sat and played with it.

Ive found the grind comes from the 1&2 clipping knobs and the tone knob, just mess with those and you should find something pretty quickly. no diodes setting(middle position on the toggle)

Put your D knob around noon-2, F around the same, and 1&2 to taste. Center toggle. Roll back F for more clanky stuff.

The beauty of the RT is that it's incredibly plug and play. I've gotten really good settings just by bumping the knobs. I don't think my 1&2 are ever in the same place between bands or basses.
