The FX GAS / Wishlist Megathread

Sign in to disble this ad
Similar to the what's coming and going thread and maybe possibly merged in the future.

This is essentially the GAS list but gear that you actually plan to buy not just I'd like 10 Moog pedals because they look cool.

Think of it as a shopping list you will slowly whittle down

So to start

Boss RE-20
E13 Peep
Boss DD-6 (Maybe Analogman Mods)
Catalinbread V8
Visual Volume Pedal
Some sort of expression pedal unless the Visual will work.
Another Rane DC24
Sinister Analog Soul Provider (When Released)
Dod FX25
Boss BF-2 (Not to sure on this though)
Danelectro French Toast
Another Pedaltrain Jr
Mojo Hand Nebula
Analogman Mojo Modded Dod 250
Alot of George L's jacks

Sad thing is I will most likely have all this within the next 2 months maybe even less.

Haha, you're sick

My list:
MXR Auto Q
Z-Vex Whooly Mammoth
Boss RC-2
Dunlop 105q bass wah

Probably won't have all these until next year, but still... Oh, and George L's too.

seeing as I don't have the luxury of trying much before I buy, here is the gear that im looking at buying and trying at the moment:

3xfx fatman
Wren & Cuff Pickle Pie
Subdecay Noisebox
EBS Multicomp
Demeter Compulator
DBX 166a
Some of the Devi Ever range (interested in trying a few of these for the price!)
A couple of the soon to be released EHX pedals.

Im sure others will slot in along the way...

Catalinbread Hedonic Treadmill-- I'm ready to buy this as soon as it's released (supposedly spring '08) if it sounds as good as am hoping it will
E13 Peep-- I'm ready to buy this as well, but couldn't find anyone selling them.
DIY Volume Envelope Pedal- I'm in the first stages of designing this from scratch with hoerni, but I may go Lazy Sprocket if I get impatient.
Foxrox Octron- This one is probably further down the road, as I like the tone of my current octave pedal, I just would enjoy the increased flexibility and tracking of the Octron.

Well... I do use the GAS list on my profile as a "to buy" list more or less, but who cares:

EhX HOG
Alfred overdrive
Dingwall FD-3 pickups and Glockenkland onboard preamp or Villex all-passive system
New dingwall saddles and wood knobs
EBS multicomp or Demeter Compulator
...that's all. Managed to take the list down in only a few months of spending every euro that came to my hands, but I can now say I'm very happy with most of my pedals and I only want some finishing touches to my pedalboard.

Pretty much in order...

Pedaltrain Jr (can't decide b/t hard and soft case)

Looper for the moogerfooger (no drill, so building it is apparantly cancelled)

pedalpower 2

another envelope filter/frostwave resonator

...and totally speculation right now, but another new cab for some more volume.

There isn't much I actually want to buy right now, but there is a lot of stuff I want to try out to see if I would want to buy one.

Currently want to buy:
Some delay for cheap (hopefully a DD3 or Digitech DigiDelay)

Currently want to try out:
MXR 105Q
EHX Micro QTron+
EHX Micro POG
EHX Holy Stain
EHX Micro Holy Grail+
EHX aw hell all the new EHX stuff
3xFx Fatman
ZVex Fuzz Probe
Malekko B:Assmaster

Since that is all I can remember I will assume I don't really want to try anything else.

Same train.

My list will be especially delayed because I plan on a new rig before any pedals... I think the only major thing I have to worry about financially this school year is prom...

Furman PL-8 SII
Carvin B1500
Carvin LS1523 (2 of 'em, eventually... )

And I'll edit this post for pedals. It's disgusting, boutique GAS.
