FX Plans for MMX (aka 2010)?

Sign in to disble this ad
I know its not the new year yet, but I was wondering what major plans people have for the next year.

My MMIX plans actually came together, amazingly enough LOL. Even with some minor changes and not having a board for the GT yet

I don't really have any plans for MMX tho. Been tossin around the idea of a big pedal-preamp shootout type thing, but im honestly not sure.

Maybe an eBow?

Get an analog delay (hopefully with expression control), an expression pedal for my qballs, and another fuzz or a rat type distortion (not sure yet which one). Maybe get an orbit again, I loved that little box of doom.

Get a boss rc2, a line 6 mm4 (to mod), make a blend loop, and create a clone of a very popular bass preamp. Also build a board bc the pedaltrain junior is just one inch short for my crap...

After I get a 6 space 14" depth rack, my goals will be an Analogman Chorus with deep switch and a Foxxrox Octron. After that perhaps a Pedal Train and PP2+.

On the horizon after that if I can, it will be a Maxon AF-9.

Then it will be experimenting with noise time...Moogerfoogers and what not.

This year I am going to control the gas (which will not happen) but in order I will get pedal related....

PT2 board (hopefully soon)
One more Fuzz Box (redwitch thundergod, Earthbound BEAST)

Then the fretless and the new amp comes, by that time it should be christmas 2010.

I want to start rolling my own, and hopefully this will begin in 2010. The woman is a damn fine painter, and we both hate working for The Man, so hopefully good things will happen. If not, well then I'd like to at least build myself a fuzz or two and not set the house on fire in the process.

I'm over my flanger addiction, the two delays I have are amazing, and two ring mods are way more than enough, so I'll probably just go through a handful of fuzz pedals as per usual, then maybe find an envelope filter I can finally settle down with. Or perhaps I'll ignore all this ridiculously mindless consumerism and start playing the god damn bass more often.

I want a nice trem & reverb, & need to build a couple of boards- a smallish one for live use & a ginormous one for wankshedding.

My M13 has taken away a lot of my GAS for pedals. I plan to explore the M13 more as there are so many possibilities within that box. Also have a MkII Gemini and a Submarine DE coming that will be the cornerstone of a small pedalboard used solo or with the M13. Still have quite a few pedals left over and I'll sell those off one by one.

I'm planning on purchasing a rocktron utopia b100 bass multi-effects processor. I've been curious about this multi-effects processor for a long time, so I'm gonna purchase one real soon.

I've got nothing changing on my main board, there is one idea but completely unnecessary that would end up leading to an entire amp overhaul as well...so that's not gonna happen.

I'm going to pick up a memory boy for sure, mostly for fun/ambient music board.

Really jones-ing for some sort of filter pedal so I might get something "cheap" like a line 6 FM-4 and mess around with it until I'm bored and decide to sell it...which is keeping me from doing that.

All and all though...I've been amazingly happy with my effects for a while now.

Recorded the bass tracks two weekends ago.

Guitar #1 recorded last weekend

Guitar #2 lives in the studio so hopefully it'll be done soon.

Then just layering synths and noise over the whole record...and it'll be done....finally
