Gain: Assmaster vs. Bass Muff

I have an Assmaster, and as it has been mentioned on this forum before, it takes quite a bit of gain to get any usable sound out of it. In my small room, this makes practicing with it a little impractical.

How does the Bass Muff compare? Does it need as much juice to be usable?

I know that if you want you can turn a muff in to a blinding wall of fuzz, Im pretty sure that muffs have a lot of gain at there disposal. Does this help?

I set volumes at 9/10 o'clock and it works for me.

Keep in mind that B:Assmaster and Muff are totally different animals.

You have more flexibility IMHO w/ a muff. Low gain and high gain are easily achieved at various volumes.
The upside of a Brassmaster is the blend for lows and precious mids.
