I was visiting a friend over the weekend and as both of us are pro-am ebay hustlers, we hit some garage sales together.
at one place, he spotted a dusty keyboard in a dark corner and pointed it out to me. this is what i found:
now I know what you're thinking - this doesnt belong in the effects thread. but not only is this "simple" synth very cool, it also has an audio input, which makes it a gigantic effect pedal.
I'm not just talking about a lowpass filter, either. The filter can be modulated in a number of ways, allowing you to emulate Bernie Worrell "flashlight" tones (with an octaved bass input), execute outstanding ring mod type effects, and everything inbetween

And the bass line from "Flashlight" rules! So simple, so funky! |

Joeinsprings: i still have to tune it but it sounds EXCELLENT, totally clean wit no crackle, none of the pots are noisy. I also have yet to check all the i/o but basically it is lookin good! |
