With everything that is going on in the world, (which I guess we aren't supposed to talk about on here), I can't seem to get my mood out of the toilet. Ever since I started shopping for new gear I have been pleasantly distracted and my attitude has been much better. All you need is Gas, da da da da da da..... |

It's much more soothing to worry about trivial things like whether a given fuzz will be compatible with my bass! |

Might be good for the soul, but it's not so soothing to the wallet!

I JUST changed about 4 things on my pedal board but now think it would be worthwhile to have a boost type pedal and although my rig is ridicuously good to say the least I now find myself wanting to put together a Genz Benz rig. It just never ends.

Actually, doing a little more selling than buying right now. I got engaged recently and I am currently jobless (though I've got a promising interview on Wednesday), so money is a little tight for me right now (plus with my several thousand investment in my studio still needing more...).
I do want to pick up a Stereo Pulsar and a phaser in the near future, though.

Of course then I get REALLY GASsy and start thinking of course I will need two copies of the boards so I can have one at home and have one in my band practice room...
that also means I need 2 sets of amps.... mmmmmm
by this time I usually get smacked upside the head from the person who is trying to talk to me and my GAS goes away... for that moment

I spend too many hours distracting myself from all the things in life that suck. Unfortunately my budget for gear is just about zilch. I can only rationalize a couple new toys a year at this point but I'm always looking for bargains on e-bay etc. A lot of it is curiosity, I just want to try different things out but shops around me have pretty limited selection unless I were to make a day trip somewhere. |

I have my plan for the 'Near Future' board, and then the end-all, be-all 'When I'm Not Poor' board, which are similar, but have some interesting differences... I get bored in class, I sketch out my board. This is how I try out new plans, and ultimately, I can eliminate GAS if a pedal doesn't fit into the real estate, and I then go about looking for the same thing in a smaller package...
I've got it as far down to the custom case I'm going to have built for my PT-2. I'm going to stencil out a design, and spray paint it, displaying 'Bad Motha *****' on all of my road cases. So when I unload at the clubs, the heavyweights will ask me:
'Which cases are yours?'
To which I will reply:
'The ones that say "Bad Motha *****" on them...'
I am substantially less depressed than I was many months ago, before all of this
