Is it any good? Is it reliable? Will it take an ass whopping or two? I'm thinking of purchasing one when I buy my pedal board. Have any of you had any experience with it? They want 92$ for it, is that too much or is that about right? Thanks, guys.

The G-Bus 8 is just a daisy chain in a box and offers practically nothing over a 1Spot (same goes for the DC Brick, too). I'd suggest you either save a ton of cash and get a 1Spot (or similar product), or put a few more dollars in and get a power supply with isolated outlets.

EXCEPT FOR 18V CAPABILITIES

Love mine. Sure the outs aren't isolated, but it's worked out just fine for me.

Fair enough, but I don't think eliminating a wall wart is worth a $70 premium. YMMV.

I had one but was experiencing ground loops (hummmmmmmmmmm) ... which is the risk with any daisy chain power supply.

With that said, the ground loops were not always an issue ... just happened after I added certain pedals (can't remember which ones now), so you might get lucky and it'll be fine.

Mine came with the Gator Pedal Tote board ... I forget what I paid for the board plus power supply, but $92 seems a bit high to me for just the power supply. Musiciansfriend has it for $92 though so you likely won't find a new one for cheaper. Might get lucky finding the power supply AND board used for way cheaper.

I bought it with the gator pedal tote and the value was totally worth it. I wouldn't pay for it without getting the whole package deal. THAT isn't worth it.

So what's up with ground looping? What is that? What are the effects of it?
