I am trying to Upgrade my rig (Ampeg SVT 3-Pro & Ampeg SVT 4x10 Classic) because i am beginning to hate it. I am planning on buying a high end 1350 watt power head and was wondering if a 3-channel sansamp is enough of a pre-amp to run with it or if i need a rackmount pre?
You want to check the specs of both units. You're looking to match the output of the pre to the input of the poweramp. The poweramp will usually give you a range, where the pre is a constant.
