sounds like there's two basses on the track, EB and bass synth, that crazy space bass sound is on the synth (check out a live version of "flashlite" its the same sound in the breaks)...The EB seems to have a touch of an octaver on it.

then again I could be wrong

(with pfunk the main bass effect was traditionally bootsy's mutron with some fuzz)
