I posted this in the stoner/doom bassists thread but thought other people might be interested so...here are some clips recorded at our practice last night. please excuse the sloppiness we had a rough go. End of week jams are never a good idea.
Anyway here is the recording chain for your reference:
Lakland Bob Glaub with La Bella Deep Talkin'
Rounds > Germanium Ox Fuzz>
Rothwell Atomic Booster (not always on)>Matamp GT200>Ampeg 810>SM57>Tascam 4 track>Soundforge.
i actually went for a slightly mellower sound and dialed the fuzz back to about 1 o'clock.
I really like the low mid range emphasis the pedal has, although the matamp doesn't hurt either.

warning: the polar bear song is pretty aimless at this point...
and some more clips without the band at home.
Jazz Bass with the neck pup volume slightly rolled back, nickel lo-riders. Through a YBA-3, speaker level DI (JDI) into soundforge.
clip goes:
clean
fuzz @ 9 o'clock
fuzz @ 12 o'clock
fuzz @ 3 o'clock
fuzz max
fuzz @ what i find is a sweet spot about 9:30.
you can hear there is some high end roll off (which i like as it suits the band mix) until you start getting past 9 o'clock on the fuzz dial.
I also turned the internal bias trim to full. dialing that back can get some pretty cool tones too.

and just for reference here is a clip of the ox fuzz bass, with my settings, fuzz 9 o'clock, blend 11 o'clock. i use this as my overdrive more so than fuzz
