Getting the best out of my pedal board.

Sign in to disble this ad
So after taking a couple of weeks off my band is getting back to full swing again, writing new material with a new sound. The guitarists and i decided to look into getting some pedals to get a more unique sound.

We are a pop punk kinda band, like you me at six....there for tomorrow...every avenue....mayday parade.....etc etc.

Here is my pedal board:

The Red Multi-Effects is a Korg AX3B, i bought this very early on in my bass playing so the only reason i have it in the board is to fill the void that is left....plus it'll save me from buying a few other pedals for now. Anyway, i used it as a Noise Reduction and a tuner so there is no questions with that.

The Green pedal is a Boss Limiter Enhancer.
The White pedal is a Boss Equalizer......wasn't completely necessary, however seeing as i'm using different amps i thought it would be smart to get something that will be able to keep my own sound rather than changing my mates amp all the time.

The Black is a TECH 21 - SansAmp Bass Driver DI which is for my general sound of the bass.

Anyway my question is.....with these pedals, what do you think would be the best way to get the best sound out of it?

I would put the EQ before the SansAmp so you can send the EQ'd signal to the DI out (assuming you use the DI out), apart from that, there's not much really to play with. Limiters and noise gates aren't much fun (actually do you really need a noise gate with that setup?).

Get some filters and ring mods and crazy oscillating fuzzes and then come back.
