Ghetto-powering an 18V...will this work?

I have the chance to mess with an 18V pedal a friend of a friend built, but my power sources are 9V warts and the pedal has no battery snaps - could I use a power supply y-cable connected to a lead off of each wart as a temporary power supply?

Yes. Just make sure it's a series Y, not parallel (series is more common anyway).
