I did a long time ago when they first came out. I soon realised that it just sucked so much tone & sounded so unnatural I moved on to higher quality gear.

I used to run mine into a ProCo RAT into my 2nd amp. I mainly use it for the whammy on a few songs, not much else. For a while it was my only effects unit, and it did the job, I just never used it for a show or anything. I've had mine for about 8 years and it still works flawlessly. I know a lot of guys who've treated their DigiTech multi effects like junk and then got mad when they broke. I suppose it's a decent option if you're on a low budget

I once had a digitech bp200 a long time ago. I have gigged with it until I've upgraded my bass rig. I had an swr amplifier(which is actually my brother's). it didn't sound too good. so I use the bp200 for it's amp modeling. but pretty soon, I've upgraded to a gallien-krueger amplifier and I've been satisfied with it ever since. after I've upgraded my bass rig, I didn't need it anymore. in my opinion, the digitech bp200 is more suitable for beginners.

oh man ,
The adapter just came in yesterday. This thing has a slight kind of hum, or air type sound. Unacceptable, I am assuming this is not normal, that they all dont do this, and that I now cant slap it on Ebay. Or is this just what these things do? It is not noticeable while playing. I had the rp200 for guitar though and it did not do this?

I did use a BP-200 gigging a few years ago. I didn't notice any hum. I generally found that its modulation effects, delay and whammy were pretty good, and that was what I primarily used it for. I found the amp sims, fuzzes and distortions to be bad.
