Gimme 'verb, 'verb, 'verb...

I'm looking for a reverb pedal that suits bass. Personally I prefer analogue units, for the pure sound and not taking things to the absolute extreme, but I am open to really good digital delay units. Obviously, price is an issure, I'm looking up to about £125. Any ideas'd be good.

Digiverb. So nice. A lot of people seem to overlook it. The "room" mode is very ethereal. The "church" mode, not on the Hardwire Reverb, is REALLY big, after a fuzz/dirt pedal, higher up on the neck...whew, beauty. My favorite is the "reverse" mode. Got mine used for 50 dollars, about 32 pounds. It is digital, but I dig it.

The Boss RV-3 is an awesome digital reverb. Really versatile too.

TC Electronic Nova Reverb. I've always felt the Boss one was too "dry" when I tried it out at GC.

Do you guys have a lot of use for reverb on bass? I have tried it, but wasn't able to find a real use for it.

I use reverb all the time. I use it as a very, VERY subtle effect that you don't notice until you turn it off....like compression it gives a little life and sparkle (whatever TF "life and sparkle" means...) to my sound.

OP, it's maybe more than you wanted to spend but the T-Rex Roommate is an absolutely amazing sounding verb. Reverb units can be a touch sterile sounding but this one is not at all even when it's cranked way past where you'd ever usually use it.

What he said. The EBS is the only reverb pedal dedicated for bass (AFAIK) and it's sweet, sweet, sweeeeeet!

I LOVE reverb! (Hence the title of my album below). But not so much on bass. In fact, the bass sounds CLEARER when it's the only thing that DOESN'T have reverb.

Also, most rooms have more reverberance than any bass player could need or want.

Still, there are rare times it works. The Boss is pretty cool.

I'm in the market for a reverb pedal too. I'm looking for flexibility. I need a delay too and I'm under the impression that some delay pedals also work great for reverb. I like having lots of parameters to fiddle with.

I'll be using it on bass and baritone guitar. I was leaning heavily towards an EHX Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai. But I'm open to options and you guys are a wealth of information. I'd be happy to buy used as well.

+1 Digiverb Stereo Digital Reverb. Connect the second output to a second amplifier for 'stereo' reverb...

This pedal has accurate tank spring emulation, too!

Boss RV-3 or Digitech's Digiverb. Reasonably priced, and will more than do the job. Reverb can be a bassist's enemy, but there are situations where it does sound really good.

There are a lot of good suggestions here, I'll add another one. I got a Marshall RF-1 reverb from another forum for 25 quid used. It's great, versatile, not clanky/awful digital sounding like some digital multieffects verbs I'd used. And the price was right!

There are some good demos on youtube. The RF-1 has a reputation for not being especially reliable, but mine has been going strong and I have no concerns - it's built like a brick.

I've never figured out how reverb doesn't make a bass sound worse, either.
