A Fulltone Bassdrive into (at least) a tube preamp will get you there.

She uses a P-Bass with a rosewood board, tone rolled all the way off, through an SVT with the gain cranked WAY up. Probably won't need any effects.

I don't think the tone is rolled off, quite honestly. Hearing live clips of it, she has a ton of treble. I think it's very possible that's an SVT-CL with the gain cranked, though it could also be any number of bass distortion units as well.

BTW, why does Billy Corgan hire chicks who look like they just started playing bass a few days ago?

Maybe he is just compensating for something.

However she is better than D'Arcy was.

That voice has always bugged the hell out of me. He has that nasally femvoice.. but live I always got the impression that he was trying to sound way more hardcore.. lol yelling etc..

'Whaaam so alone... Whaaaaa-m so alone"

If he really wants to be tough, he needs a prison nickname.. "Boo Hoo Billy Corgan" sounds about right.
