Hey guys. In the mid 90's there was a band called God Head Silo. A band I was in, was playing at a club called 924 Gilman St. in the bay area (nor. cal). We were on a bill with this band who I had never heard of. After our set, this guy starts dragging up an 8X10 ampeg cab, leans it on it's side, and then lays a 2X15 ampeg cab on top. Then there was a head, and one or two more amps on stage (can't remember for sure). The band was a two piece, drums and bass/singer.

They were f$%k'in bowel-shaking loud, raw, and a complete wall of bass fuzz, to the max.

Anyways, long story short, I just recently stumbled on them again, and thought I'd share with you guys who like to hear creative use of bass FX, fuzz etc. and like to hear bass in a non-traditional setting.

You can hit 'em up on iTunes, they had 3 or 4 records I think.

They are raw, sludgy, punk type stuff, so if that's not your thing, probably don't bother.

just thought I'd share!

Thanks for the heads up. Just an FWI for others, you will have an easier time finding info about this band if you search for Godheadsilo as opposed to God Head Silo.
