This is going to sound crazy...

But I was wondering if anybody had ideas on how to make a bass sound like the synth to those Geico commercials.

The remake of the Micheal Jackson song.

I have a multieffects pedal (I've had since I was 15...it seemed like a good idea at the time) and I can't seem to get remotely close.

An octave pedal is a definite part of the equation, any other ideas? I'm drawing a blank.

I'd say: octave down + gated fuzz.

There was a thread on this when the commercial first aired. Search for it. I would do it, but I have to run!

I did search before I posted and all I could find was "Favorite Geico ad or "most annoying commercial"
