Good or bad 1st bass effect pedal?

I'm getting the Zoom B2.1U bass effect pedal, I was wonderin if it is a good first pedal. I want to play it but everytime I go to Sam ash people are always messing with it and the last time I went, someone beat the **** out of it. -.- Anyway just wondering. Tell me what you think or what you think is better for the same or close to the same price.

It's a good first pedal. It'll allow you to expiriement with lots of different effects, so you can eventually get individual fx that you want.

I want to get a bunch of pedals and make a pedal board but I am so confused with everything........Don't know what people are talking about on this website, I need some help haha.
