That's about $64 US, so I would think that might put you on target for some Boss pedals on eBay UK. I don't know what you have available for effects pedals in that price range in the UK, so that's what I would do.

Good ol' Boss might work for you. Also Guyatone micro series, some of EHX's stuff, and the Ibanez tonelok stuff.

Hmmm... I think you can get three George Ls Cables. Getting the cables out of the way first can go along way

Or you can get an electro harmonix LPB-1. Its a boost that you can use for sorts.

You might be able to find a Boss OC-2 for that cheap.

I think you can also open up a savings account at bank of america for 40 bucks as well. Think long term

You can pick up an EHX Bassballs for around that

What else have you got and are you trying to achieve certain sounds or are you just messing with pedals for a bit of fun?

Here's a good place to start - a Boss LMB-3 on eBay UK.

Everybody needs a compressor now and then!

Used OC-2 or Digitech BSW. Maybe a used Phase 90.

Danelectro French Toast - best fuzz for the least money - available new for around $40 USD, as low as $10 used.

Since you are just looking to mess around with effects, I would recommend getting a cheap multi-effects unit such as the Digitech BP-80. You should be able to get one used in your price range fairly easily, and it will give you a LOT of different things to try. Once you figure out what you are really looking for in effects, then you can make the investment in individual pedals.

Have a look at GLX pedals on eBay, they're basically the same as Boss models but close to half the price

I'd recommend the ibaned PD7,...

its not 'the best' and it definitely colours your sound,... but for when I need it im into that, its been the staple overdrive on my band board for 4 years now...
