Good compressor.

Anyone have any suggestions a good compressor that's not overly expensive. Although I have gotten away without one on my board for so long I think it's finally time to grab one. I have nothing specific in mind so I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Personal the Boss CS-2 if you want to add "something" or MXR M87 if you want pure function. And when i see questions related to compressor what come to my mind is go to www.ovnilab.com there is what you are looking for.

After reviewing the above-referenced site, which is most excellent, I got the Boss LMB-3.

most compressor pedals worth buying will be in the $200 range or above, so expect to spend that much. I would recommend playing as many as you can before making a decision. A good compressor can do a lot for your sound if used correctly.

I settled on the EBS MultiComp and it is my favorite pedal i own. It has three different modes and i use them for enhancing my clean tone or limiting filter/wah peaks. It can be transparent or add a slight, warm, mid range boost to your tone. It also adds a really nice punch for slap.
