Good Customer Service stories

It seems there are plenty of negative posts about manufactures, effects, service, etc. Anyone else had a great interaction with an effects manufacturer lately?? Let me tell you about mine:

I bought a used Rane DC24 unit from Guitar Center, the unit works fine but was missing a few knob center pieces, so it wasn't cosmetically appealing. I wrote to Rane to see if I could buy a new set of knobs for my used unit and what the price would be for a new set.

In the email back from Rane, Kelly A. said that she would ship out a new set of knobs free of charge if I just gave her the postal address & the serial number of my unit. Less than a week later I had new knobs.

I know it's not much, getting free knobs, but it was a very nice gesture on her/Rane's part and I wanted to make sure I passed along kudos!

BestbassGear.com - Probably the best and smoothest return I ever had. They gave me incorrect pots, but were able to send out the correct ones the same day. Extremely professional people.

Diamond - My 3PDT switch went dead after my first stop on my bass compressor. Emailed them about it and sent me a new one days later (I put in my own spare). Once again very professional.

Iron Ether - Can't say enough good stuff about what Taylor is doing over there. Follows up emails like none other.

I have a lot more good stories than bad ones myself.

GK: I stepped on a cable and broke the input jack in my 20 year old 200MB, I called customer service and said I could bring it by personally, they offered to give me a tour, I went on the tour, chatted wiht Robert, and when I was done, so was my amp, and all free of charge.

Carvin; Missing some knobs on my amp, I offered to buy them, they declined and asked very specific questions about the knobs, how they were lost, etc and send me new ones and a few extras free of charge.

I had a really stellar experience with Curt at Red Panda Labs- after buying his BitCrusher module I had noticed some extra noise in certain settings when the pedal was engaged… it happened for a few reasons and he took the time to send dozens and dozens of emails, charts, graphs, & sound clips back and forth until it was fixed. Now it’s one of my favorite pedals. Needless to say it was a great experience and I will be keeping my eyes and ears open for his future products.

I have a few, all from independent builders.

-Two times Taylor from Iron Ether has made up for small delays by either comping upgraded shipping or refunding money. Both were unsolicited by me, and done very graciously.

-I had a pedal made by Adam from CopilotFX that was damaged in shipping. He had another one built and ready (this was a custom job) the next day and shipped it out before I even shipped the broken one back.

I like these kind of threads.

Wren and Cuff and Couch Guitar Straps are probably two of the best companies I have ever dealt with.

I have a bunch of stuff from Couch (2 guitar straps, 1 camera strap, 1 belt, and 1 wallet). The ends on my favorite guitar strap started to tear and Dan told me to send the strap in and he replaced the ends at no charge.

Matt really takes the cake for exceptional customer service. I ordered a Phat Phuk B and when I got it, it was DOA. I sent an email and Matt overnighted a new one to me and threw in a free power supply. So I had a new PhPhB the next day in time for my gig.

Oh yes I also forgot to mention that Curt @ Red Panda Labs sent me 2 modules with updates before the final module was finished- and paid for shipping both ways.
