I'm looking to buy a fuzz/distortion pedal. I wouldn't really use a ton so I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on it I was leaning toward the Big Muff Pi. I don't want anything that's really over the top sounding, I just want to dirty up my sound on a couple of songs. Anybody used the Big Muff? How did you like it? I don't use a lot of effects so I'm not very experienced with effects pedals. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

| | | | I have the Russian Big Muff, and I like it alot. I'm in the same situation, as in I only use it on a couple of songs, but it does the trick.
Not an extreme amount of low end though, that'd probably be different in the Bass Big Muff, but I've never tried it.

The search function is nice for looking for particular conversations.
Bassfuzz.com is a blessing.
There's lots of Big Muff versions, each one acts a little differently.
What kind of music are you playing? Do you want balls out fuzz, just a little fuzz, deep fuzz, high gain fuzz, etc etc etc.? |

I play in a backing band for a chick that does some country and top 40 too. I'm really looking for something that wouldn't detract from my low end and just give it a light to mid fuzz sound. |

I like to run mine with the fuzz all the way down.
Check out this video, especially at 3:43 when he turns the fuzz down. I likey! http://bassfuzz.com/2008/09/14/mxr-m...fuzz-review/3/ |
