Easy: my favorite setting is octave 1 dimmed, octave 2 off and blend at 8:00am.

I'm pretty sure there is a thread exactly like this from a week or so ago...

that...

but heres some settings that work for me...

1)
OCT -2 off
OCT -1 full
direct 9 o clock

gives slight undertones and sounds nice and FAT!

2)
OCT-2 noon
Oct -1 noon
direct off

keep it above the 12th fret for this one!

as with any analog octaver try to keep it above the 5th fret, make sure your intonation is right, play clean and groove as needed...

I've adjusted my settings a bit (based on suggestions I tried from that other thread recently). Now I'm running:

Oct 2 - somewhere between off and 9:00 (usually off)
Oct 1 - Full ON
Direct - about 2:00

I like a cool octave doubling effect with a good amount of my original signal retained.

I'm more interested in the second line, what's happening that you can't get a decent sound? Describe what you're hearing.

Dumb question: you mentioned that it's not working on low notes...what is the lowest note you're playing?
