Is this a good price for a Moog?

I am looking at getting into the synth keyboard world and I have what I think is a good offer on a Moog Little Phatty Stage II synth. The cat is asking $700 local. They sell for about $1299 new. What are your thoughts?

Thanks all!!

Good price, I see them usually priced around the 850-1000 used.

If its in good working condition and you have the cash, jump on it.

Good luck

Thanks all. The worst I can do is just turn it around and re-sell it for $700 plus shipping of course. No money lost right?

Excellent price, so long as everything works. And, a great little synth. I really miss mine terribly.

Yes, this would come to the GTG with me if I can pick it up this weekend. Maybe someone can show me how to use it.

I'd take it for $700 if you decide you don't like/need it. That's a good price on the Stage II model. They are really cool synths.

Okay, if I don't dig it, will you take it for $700 plus shipping?

Yes, assuming it is in reasonably good condition, though I think you will like it. The user interface is good, and you can get lots of cool bass and lead sounds out of it.

Please PM me if you decide you don't want it.

I just hope I can learn how to play before I get discouraged....
