The most fun is to pave your own way, just pick a key, and start rippin' it up. Sorry if that's not what you're looking for, it's just my opinion of what's fun to play, with or without an fx pedal. Oh, and play the pedal, like it was something magical. Have fun.

+1000. Just tear it up, experiment with different playing dynamics with different settings with the envelope opening and closing, etc.. I have the Digitech and just got an old DOD FX25 in the mail and man I'm having a blast just finding out what these pedals can do with differences in my technique. Envelope filters are one of the most player-sensitive effects, you can get a lot of different responses with different approaches in your fingertips. Play with different range and sensitivity settings, there's always a sweet spot where the envelope operates quickly with a lot of "swoosh" directly following if you set these two controls at appropriate places. Envelope is actually my favorite effect, come to think of it, guess that's why I have two stomp box envelopes and 3 in my multi-effect.

Yeah it is a very sensitive pedal. If you have an active bass you will have to play very lightly to avoid triggering the envelope. Roll of the volume from your bass a bit if you need too. Otherwise, the pedal itself makes some great sounds.

"Chameleon" by Herbie Hancock from the Headhunters album. It's the definitive bassline for road-testing autofilters: "bow-bow-bow-bow, BOWMP, BOWMP"
