got an m9 and some new toys on the way...

yesterday jojo and i went shopping in manhattan (i needed some pedals and he wanted a bass) and went to banjo mart on 14th st... picked up an m9 and helped jojo find a really nice mexican p-bass... found one with a GREAT neck and nice weight.... white with a white p/g.

anyway, took the m9 back to the studio and played for a while... that thing RULES. it's amazing how much better it sounds than the old modeler pedals... we're going into the studio soon to make a new ep, and hopefully i'll have some sounds that confuse and inspire!

also, our own Conical Johnson is sending me some prototypes for some pedals that i am extremely excited about... maybe he'll chime in here on those pedals... i think TB'ers will be excited about them.

Hey John,

I bought an M9 upon your recommendation, at least wanted to give it a shot. It is really amazing; in such a small box, so much stuff most of which are quite useful. I was thinking of using it just for the delays, but since it is such a small package, I decided to use it by itself when I travel. Maybe, I will add a compressor at the beginning of the chain as I do not want to spend one of the banks for it.

I've been thinking about getting M9 and your positive words will definitely help me decide. One of fellow TB'ers promised me that I can try his one, so expectations are huge

sorry dude... i wanted to come to your store, but making the trip wasn't possible... also, i get a discount for being bass collective faculty there... and i saw in your profile that you aren't selling gear anymore.

anyway... yeah... game changer for me... there are some things i have been wanting to do for a while that i can do and there are some really great new textures i can get... it is going to force me to seriously re-assess my rig, and will probably lead to the development of v.4.0 of my board...

i have a feeling that Conical Johnson's pedals will really make 4.0 a reality.
