The postman brang it to meh door about an hour ago and the 105B is everything I thought it would be and then some. I've been messing with it ever since and I know it's a honeymoon thing but this is a very inspiring piece of gear. Messing with the patterns mix and envelope so far I'm digging on patterns 6-10 and especially 10.
I knew there would be a bit of a learning curve but I've taken to it pretty quick and am feeling really creative with the pedal. I can already envision where this pedal can get a lot of use in a band setting,...especially while comping and improvising. I'll be going into the studio with a friend at the end of December as well and look forward to bringing the MuRF with me.
I'm inclined to go the route scotch went and get expression pedals and footswitches to get the most out of this guy. I can see that they are worth it and I want the full compliment,...almost a clone of scotch's "MuRFBoard" (I get it,...surfboard,...eh) but I want to figure out where it fits in the grand scheme of my current FX and am calling on TB murf gurus for ideas.
So here is my signal chain for the moment,...TU-2-->OC-2-->SD-2 (which is the Boss Dual Overdrive)-->3Leaf GR-->EA Supercollider-->442 Red-->MuRF.
Incoming is a Boss LS-2 from jufros. I'm not opposed to getting different flavas of fuzz on my board.
So far I love the way this guy sounds with my fuzz and it's a good compliment to the octaver,...not sure about the envelope filters. I'm sure the most common answer is experiment, but where would you put this pedal in relation to the other pedals in the signal chain. I'm inclined to leave it at the end of the chain. Lastly,...is it even worth it to try it with other envelope filters?
Any insight or general discussion would be fun.
