GR1 loop question

Sign in to disble this ad
ok so i finally got one of these awesome pedals and i have question about the effect loop. is there any way to place pedals within its loop but still have them bypassed when the effect is bypassed so that i can use the effects solo but when the GR1 is in effect the effects are used within the loop. i know the new GR2 has that option but is there anyway to have the GR1 do this effectively. HELP! I have an LS-2 and have tried so maybe someone knows a trick?

*facepalm*

Dude, we talked about the same thing a few months back. Basically the mod Spencer! does to it now is how you do it. Externally, I'm not sure if there's anything really.

Let's solve an FX loop puzzle!!

here is what we basically concluded that you can do with an LS-2 anyway:

Bass -> GR in
GR Effects Loop Send -> pedals (you want inside the loop) in
pedals out -> LS-2 Input
LS-2 Loop A Send -> GR Effects Loop Receive
GR Out -> LS-2 Loop A Receive
-> Amp

Have the LS-2 on mode "A <-> bypass". Leave the Groove Regulator on all the time and use the LS-2 as the switch (to activate and deactivate the GR). Simply use the other pedals inside the loop as you normally would, using the switch on the pedals.

I think that's pretty much it. I might have forgotten something, if so just look on the other thread.

bassinurface it was really easy and it makes a lot of sense now that I use it. I keep my B loop for my tuner and the A has all my fuzz, synth and octaver needs. I keep my phaser and flanger post loop b/c I prefer it that way. THANKS AGAIN!

its all good.
But I just don't understand how your working it, because the way this set up works is that you have the envelope filter section of the GR in the loop of the LS-2, and all the pedals you want inside the GR loop are before the LS-2. I don't understand how you can be doing this "I keep my B loop for my tuner and the A has all my fuzz, synth and octaver needs." The only way I can think of is if you had two LS-2's.

What mode is the LS-2 in and please explain a little further? Maybe this is another solution I didn't think of.
