I bought a dinky $25 Artec EQ pedal on eBay for $25 recently, and I think it works great. Slightly different values than the Boss Bass EQ, and 1 more band, but it served my purposes and tends to EQ more of the bass frequencies than of the whole spectrum.

Not 10 bands, but worth a shot.

That being said, if you just need an EQ and want to ignore the slider frequency values, go for the MXR.
